Hello, I'm Josh W.

I am a musician, bandleader, arranger, songwriter, singer, and above all an impassioned lover of beautiful music! I have been playing and singing for over 20 years, and directed vocal​/​acapella groups for more than 10. I am passionate about helping others unlock the potential in their voices, and develop the skills to strive for a lifetime of improvement. I attended Berklee College of Music, and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (Concentrations in Acoustics​/​Electronics and Teaching Contemporary Voice). I have been teaching lessons Voice Lessons for 5 years, both virtually and in-person. I am comfortable teaching a variety of skill levels, and have taught learners from middle school to middle-age! I believe anyone can sing. We are brought up in a society that can accidentally chide both artistic expression and the free use of our singing voices. This can direct us to put up internal walls, and I am on a mission to help others break down these walls. Sometimes it is a simple tweak that will allow a student to connect differently within their voice and body. I love to work with students to discover their "a-ha!" moments, and then hound repetition techniques to help them develop muscle memory around positive habits. Aside from teaching, I am a passionate dancer, and inspired performance artist. I am a runner, mountain biker, nature-explorer, and competitive recreational athlete. I believe all the things in which we find joy are tied into one another, and view both life and my performance art much in the same vein. Most of all, I like to have fun!
