Hello! My name is Farooq Kariem, and I am a Visual Artist & Instructor. As far as my work, it all culminates on one thing: Emotional connection through art and media. I love to tell stories no matter the medium. As an illustrator, I have cultivated my craft as a story teller and avid learner of comics, animation, character​/​world design, graphic design, and even teaching. When it comes to creativity, storytelling, or even portraying a message, I strive to connect on the simplest yet profound human level. It’s not just about making pretty art and showing it off, it’s about sharing a common experience that creates a sense of love and belonging. I aim to share opportunities with those who strive to do the same. I also value the opportunity to learn and grow with others, no matter the profession. This is my way in paying forward — a way to give back the way any artist would: creatively.
