Hello, I'm Langley.
Welcome! I am an art instructor and visual artist with 20 years of teaching experience. I have an MFA in Studio Art with a concentration in photography and I love to teach students of all ages! I taught high school art and photography as a certified teacher of Art K-12 in the Texas public school system before moving to Virginia where I became a licensed teacher of Art Pre-K-12. I taught Pre-K to 8th-grade art in the classroom for several years before entering grad school and opened my own art school, where I currently teach art online for ages 2 to adult. I have also taught Art and Photography at the university level. When I am not teaching, I work as an artist in photography and design exhibiting my work throughout the country. I have served on several art committees and presented my work at SECAC (Southeastern College Art Conference). My work has received awards from Photographer’s Forum, Tokyo International Foto Awards, The Nikon Small World Competition, and more. As a teacher, I enjoy tying multiple subjects into my lessons. In addition to learning new techniques and creating works of art, students will often also be exposed to theory, history, music, math, and science. Art is a universal language that reaches learners in many different ways. I strive to adapt my lessons to the learning style of each student and offer an environment that is relaxed and fun!
