Young Content Creators & Podcasters: Stories & Animation!
Experience description Young Content Creators & Podcasters is a live, interactive online creative experience where children and teens learn how to turn their ideas into digital content. Students explore storytelling, character creation, drawing, cartoons, beginner animation, and podcasting while building communication skills and creative confidence. During each session, students move from idea to creation. They may develop an original character, plan a short story, sketch scenes, explore how animation brings a story to life, or create a kid-friendly podcast topic. Students also practice speaking, listening, interviewing, asking thoughtful questions, and participating in group discussions. The experience encourages young creators to express themselves, collaborate with other students, and share different perspectives in a positive, moderated environment. Podcast discussions may also introduce students to young voices, ideas, and cultures from different communities around the world.

Students will be introduced to several forms of content creation, including: 🎨 Character Creation & Drawing Students develop original characters, personalities, appearances, and ideas. 📖 Storytelling Students learn how to turn an idea into characters, a beginning, middle, and ending, and visual story scenes. 🎬 Cartoons & Beginner Animation Students explore how drawings and characters can become animated stories and digital content. 💻 Digital Content Creation Students use age-appropriate creative activities to understand how ideas can be developed for digital media. 🎙️ Podcasting Students learn how to choose an episode topic, create a title, prepare questions, introduce themselves, participate in conversations, and express their opinions clearly. 🎧 Communication & Interviewing Students practice listening, taking turns, interviewing classmates, responding thoughtfully, and having respectful group discussions. 🌎 Young Voices Worldwide Students are encouraged to learn about different perspectives and communicate with other young creators from different communities and cultures. A typical session begins with a creative idea or discussion topic. Students then brainstorm, plan, and create individually or together. Depending on the lesson, they may work on a character, story, drawing, animation concept, or podcast discussion. Students will have opportunities to share their work, talk about their ideas, and receive positive guidance and encouragement. Possible podcast and storytelling topics include friendship, school life, creativity, books, kindness, leadership, bullying prevention, future careers, entrepreneurship, community helpers, world cultures, and other age-appropriate topics. The goal is for every student to leave the experience with something they created, along with stronger communication skills, confidence, and excitement about using their imagination.
