What makes a scene feel real? Why can two actors say the exact same words and create completely different characters? In this private, interactive acting experience, students will learn to approach a scene the way a professional actor does — with curiosity, imagination, and specific choices. Together, we'll explore a short age-appropriate scene and uncover the clues hidden inside it: Who is this character? What do they want? What is standing in their way? What changes during the scene? Then comes the fun part: we'll perform it, experiment with different choices, and watch how the scene transforms. This isn't about finding one “correct” way to act. It's about helping each student develop confidence, emotional awareness, imagination, and their own creative instincts. No previous acting experience is required. Students who already act or audition are also welcome to bring material they'd like to work on.
