Lights, camera, action! In this workshop, students will learn how to transform a song into a compelling visual story while exploring the creative and technical process behind professional music videos. Participants will develop a music video concept, create treatments, learn basic cinematography techniques, direct performers, and capture footage using industry-standard filmmaking practices. Students will also gain an introduction to editing, pacing, visual style, and how music influences storytelling on screen. Led by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and educator Jami Ramberan, whose work includes directing music videos, commercials, documentaries, and narrative films, this workshop encourages creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Students will leave with a deeper understanding of visual storytelling and a completed music video project or scene that showcases their unique artistic vision.
