This experience will be covering 2d character design and will take place once a week every Saturday for 4 weeks. It will go over the basics of shape language, basic figure drawing, different angles, expressions, and more. I will put an emphasis on students finding their own creative style. I will also give a variety of free tools and resources that will help students improve their character designing skills. We will also be exploring how to build a world for your characters, give them personality traits, and their own backstory.

During the four week lessons this will be the layout: Class 1: Character Portraits - Drawing stylized features (eyes, nose, lips, etc) - Facial proportions - Face angles Class 2: Figure Drawing -Anatomical Proportions -Face angles -Turning shapes into parts of the body Class 3: Base colors and shading -Picking colors for your characters based off of their personality -Shading -Adding textures -Lighting Class 4: Creative Background -Adding clothes -Style -Considering ideas for your character (pose, cultural beliefs, personality, mood, and attitude) -World building Materials: Procreate is required for these lessons
