Creative Insect Art: Exploring Nature

In this creative class, children are invited into a calm and supportive space where art becomes a way to explore both nature and their own creativity. Through drawing, color pencils or watercolor, and mixed media, students will learn about insects and develop curiosity for the small living beings that are part of our ecosystem. They will explore shapes, textures, and natural color palettes while creating their own artwork in a gentle and engaging way. This experience also encourages moments of reflection. At the end of each session, we take a moment to appreciate the creative space we shared, as a gift for ourselves and to cultivate gratitude for nature and even the smallest beings around us. These values are important to nurture from a young age. Mercedes is a bilingual professional in Communication Sciences and an artist who creates spaces where all ages feel seen, supported, and comfortable. She believes art is a powerful way to process emotions, connect with ourselves, and explore creativity with intention.
