This class invites children, teens and adults of all ages to explore their authentic selves through the art of manga. More than simply learning how to draw, students will discover how creativity can become a healthy form of self-expression and storytelling. Through character design, visual narratives, and personal projects, participants will learn to transform their memories, emotions, dreams, and life experiences into beautiful manga stories that reflect their own unique style. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced artist, this class provides a welcoming and encouraging space to create without judgment. Students will explore anatomy, expressions, composition, and manga techniques while developing their own artistic voice. Different art medium are encouraged for expressing yourself through manga and art. From whimsical adventures to heartfelt autobiographical stories, every creator is encouraged to tell the stories that matter most to them. My hope is to build a community where art becomes a way to connect, heal, and celebrate individuality. This class welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds who wish to discover the joy of creating and sharing stories through manga.
