Hello, I'm Mariana Sabino.

Hi! I'm the author of The Verdigris Stories, a collection of short stories in which the setting is often a central part of the narrative. I have an MFA in Creative Writing and Literature from the Bennington Writing Seminars, and a BA in Media Arts. I also studied Screenwriting at FAMU in Prague. Shortlisted for the Granum Foundation Prize in 2021, my writing has also received support from the Kenyon Review. While delving into many cultures and countries—including the United States, Brazil, and the Czech Republic—I tend to feel most at home in the natural world.
