For more than 30 years, I've created books, television series, educational programs, videos, and learning experiences for children and families. Along the way, I've had the privilege of becoming a bestselling children's author, Emmy Award-winning writer and producer, and former President of Random House Entertainment. My book, The Crayon Box That Talked, has sold more than one million copies, and the content I've created has reached hundreds of millions of children, parents, teachers, and caregivers worldwide. Throughout that journey, I've become fascinated by a simple question: Why do some opportunities earn a parent's enthusiastic "yes" while others are ignored? The answer is rarely talent alone. Parents enroll when they understand the value, trust the instructor, believe their child will enjoy the experience, and feel confident they're making the right decision.
