Hello, I'm Charlene T.

I'm the critically acclaimed author of three young adult novels published by Penguin Random House and Scholastic Press, and have received two starred reviews from Publishers Weekly. I'm a creative writing instructor for a top 20 university's continuing education program, and a writing coach for emerging authors. I hold a certificate in teaching creative writing from the University of Cambridge and have been recognized as a finalist for the Black Mountain Institute Shearing Fellowship and the Amelia Elizabeth Walden Award. I work with students of all ages as they make progress toward their writing goals. My students have received the national gold medal from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, pursued specialty writing programs for young authors, and more. As someone who also began writing seriously as a child, I love any opportunity to support the next generation of authors. Looking forward to meeting you!
