Hello, I'm Ms. Dara.

Dara Adams-Smith is a music technology educator and producer who helps students create, record, and produce original music using modern digital audio tools. She currently provides online and in-person instruction in music production, recording, and composition using platforms such as Suno AI and Suno Studio, Logic Pro, GarageBand, and Noteflight. Her teaching emphasizes hands-on learning, guiding students through the full creative process from initial idea to finished track. With over twenty-five years of experience as a freelance trumpeter and educator in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts, Dara brings a unique combination of performance expertise and technical skill. She served as Director of Bands and Music Technology at Hampshire Regional Middle and High School in Westhampton for more than 21 years, where she developed and led a comprehensive music technology program focused on digital recording, sound design, and production. Dara holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Production & Engineering and Performance from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Arts in Teaching, Secondary Music Education from University of New Hampshire. In addition to her work in music technology, she offers private instruction in trumpet, trombone, and drum set. Dara is dedicated to helping students build confidence, creativity, and real-world production skills.
