Ms. Lockhart is an experienced art educator with over 10 years of teaching experience across all age groups, including 7 years in public and private elementary education, as well as additional experience with middle school, high school, and adult learners. She specializes in painting, drawing, and mixed media, guiding students in developing strong foundational art skills, including an exploration of the elements and principles of art and each student's unique artistic voice. Her classroom integrates a wide range of materials, including acrylic, tempera, and watercolor paints, as well as drawing media such as colored pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, markers, and crayons. Ms. Lockhart’s teaching emphasizes creativity, confidence, craftsmanship, and problem-solving while encouraging students to explore their own ideas and creative styles. She is deeply committed to fostering a supportive and engaging environment where curiosity, growth, and unique individual expression are valued and supported.
