Hello, I'm Lori Lockhart.

I’m Ms. Lockhart, an experienced art educator with over 10 years of teaching experience across a wide range of ages, including seven years in public and private elementary education, as well as experience working with middle school, high school, and adult learners. I specialize in painting, drawing, and mixed media, helping students build strong foundational art skills while exploring the elements and principles of art and developing their own unique artistic voices. My classes incorporate a wide variety of materials, including acrylic, tempera, and watercolor paints, as well as colored pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, markers, and crayons. I emphasize creativity, confidence, craftsmanship, and problem-solving while encouraging students to experiment, explore their own ideas, and develop their individual creative styles. Most importantly, I strive to create a supportive, engaging, and joyful environment where curiosity, growth, and individual expression are celebrated. My goal is for every student to feel confident taking creative risks, discovering new possibilities, and having fun making art!
