Ty Granderson Jones holds a Master of Fines Arts degree from one of the world's most celebrated acting and theatre programs-- the University of California, San Diego -- School of Theatre and Dance. He's an internationally celebrated acting coach​/​college professor, screenwriter, producer, director, award-winning filmmaker, and internationally recognized veteran actor of stage and screen-- Mentored by Lee Strasberg (Actors Studio - NYC), Alan Schneider (UCSD School of Theatre and Dance), Michael Addison (UCSD School of Theatre and Dance), Arthur Wagner (UCSD School of Theatre and Dance), and Georgia Allen (FSU School of Theatre and Dance). His Stage and Screen credits include over 70 plays from Off Off-Broadway to Tony Award winning repertory theater such as South Coast Repertory, working with iconic playwright August Wilson, Co-starring and starring in Oscar nominated and blockbuster films with directors such as Oliver Stone (Salvador) and Simon West (Con Air). A journey dedicated to acting and show business with a commitment to share craft, experience and acumen with aspiring artists—Past pupils have included Whitney Houston, Tupac Shakur, and rock legend John Densmore of The Doors.
