Hello, I'm Ms. JQ.

Jenn Q (she​/​her) forms the heart of RISE Healing Arts Lab. Born and raised in New York by Salvadoran parents, from a young age she understood the importance of cultural belonging and the magic of storytelling to access healing, and the power of play and creativity to process grief and deepen community ties. JQ has worked with a range of nonprofits, events, festivals, and film-based organizations across the U.S. and Canada. Jenn holds an M.A. in Film and Media Studies from Concordia University and an Arts in Medicine Certificate from the University of Florida. She is trained in grief and end-of-life care by the International End of Life Doula Association and Our House Grief Support Center NYC.
