Whether your student is preparing a monologue, audition, scene, storytelling piece, Thespian event, forensics competition, or college audition, this is focused 1:1 coaching designed to help them walk in prepared, specific, confident, and ready to make an impression. I love the moment when a young performer stops trying to “get it right” and starts making bold, intentional choices of their own. That is where the work gets exciting. We can work on material selection, script analysis, character, objective, physical and vocal choices, pacing, storytelling, rehearsal strategy, audition technique, competition preparation, and performance polish. I also bring extensive experience coaching students for State Thespian Conferences, International Thespian Festival events, forensic tournaments, and college auditions, so I understand both the artistry and the pressure of the room. Sessions are active, encouraging, specific, and built around a clear mission. We figure out what the piece needs, what the performer needs, what is getting in the way, and what choices will make the work stronger. Then we experiment. We play. We make discoveries. We prepare. Because confidence does not come from hoping nerves disappear.. Confidence grows when you know you did the work. My goal is never to manufacture a generic “winning” performance. I want to help each young artist discover what makes their work alive—their point of view, their instincts, their humor, their imagination, their courage, their connection to the story.
