Wonder Maps: An Artist Adventure for Curious Kids Every artist begins with one simple skill: learning to notice. In this playful class, children create their own Wonder Map—a creative journal filled with drawings, colors, stories, tiny discoveries, questions, and moments of curiosity. Together we'll explore the world like artists and adventurers, collecting ideas from the studio of our own lives instead of trying to make "perfect" art. Through a repeatable meditative drawing practice, simple mixed-media projects, storytelling, and creative prompts, children learn to slow down, trust their imagination, and discover that inspiration is already all around them. They learn to notice and record the stories within their own lives, follow their ideas as they emerge, and discover what becomes possible when they give their imagination room to explore. There are no mistakes here—only discoveries. My goal is to help children build confidence, artistic skills, curiosity, and deepen their creative awareness, as well as discover their own life map, through exploration, observation, and the simple magic of paying attention and being present.
