Experience subject

This course is designed for small groups and 1:1 for children and teens who want to create their own unique characters. They will learn the fundamentals of strong character design, shape language and visual storytelling through costumes and props. Taught by Rich Draper, a 30 year veteran of the animation industry who has worked for Disney, Cartoon Network and Elf on the Shelf to name a few. Rich has been a character designer, storyboard artist, animator and director. He has also taught similar courses at the college level at Kennesaw State University. Students will learn the fundamentals of character design, create their own unique characters and learn how to refine the designs and add storytelling elements to them. It is a fun, imaginative class that will help grow their creativity and visual expression.
