This is an introductory, as well as an extra practice class for students who have an interest in comics, manga, anime, and cartoons and would like help developing their craft. Students will be given the tools to draw and design their characters with step by step help. Character and story will be discussed as students work to develop their concepts. By the end of the class students should have a solid grasp of their characters and the kind of story they want to tell. It doesn't matter if you want to create a comedy, an epic fantasy, a space opera, a shonen adventure or just some superhero fun. Classes will be taught via Google Meet, links will be sent out before the class.

-Character Creation and Development- Students will learn what it takes to make fun and interesting characters. -Working on developing original ideas- Students will work on strengthening their imagination to create original characters and stories. -Story Genre- Students will learn about different story genres such as Fantasy, Science Fiction, Action, Romance, Comedy, and Horror. -Figure Drawing:- Students will work on developing their figure drawing skills via step by step instruction. -Dynamic Posing- Students will work on practicing drawing their characters in dynamic poses. -Collaboration- Students will discuss their ideas with each other to help develop them further and practice professional -Pencil and Paper Drawing- Students will practice with the paper and pencil they bring to the class. -Digital Drawing- Students will get a demo of how digital drawing works and how it can help them grow as artists.
