I believe that each student’s musical journey is as unique as their own fingerprint. With my lesson plans, whether it be for vocal coaching, general music theory​/​reading, or composition​/​songwriting lessons, my students will always be respected for their own personal style. I do not believe in a "cookie cutter" approach - each student's lessons are customized just for them. I have always felt that music is a natural language that we all can tap into. It is a form of communication that we have been hearing our entire lives. That feeling you get when you hear a certain song and can't help but sing along... and maybe dance too! It's the best feeling, and this is what I would like to share with my students. The simple power of music and how we use it to express ourselves with our very own voices through song. I believe in the empowerment that we all can receive through the gift of music, and learning how to exercise our own unique talents. **A note about scheduling: I live in an area that is subject to Hurricane season in the south-eastern part of the U.S. Being close to the ocean, we are also subject to violent summer storms. Please know that if I "no show" for a lesson, it is because we have lost power. I will do my best to warn of the potential of these events during scheduling whenever possible. Thank you.**

About My Lessons for Songwriters My first lesson with any student begins with a proper introduction, and getting to know what kind of music they enjoy. I will inquire about the student’s musical experience, including singing and instrumental knowledge. I will also need to know if the student reads sheet music and what their level of experience is. Songwriting is an incredibly personal experience, and I believe that young composers deserve all of the support that they can get. Songwriting lessons are extremely unique. Depending on the student’s musical talents and experience, these lessons will vary greatly. Music theory and vocal training are always involved in order to provide the student with the necessary skills required to write their own songs and express themselves musically. The ability to express myself through music has been the greatest gift I have ever received and I am honored to assist my students on their journey to be able to do the same.
