In this expressive, hands-on introduction students will dive headfirst into the world of DIY zine making. Recommended for curious creators ages 10 and up. Through a series of fun, structured hands-on activities including: Activities -Designing and folding your very first single-sheet zine, building a mixed-media collage spread using cut paper, drawings, and found imagery -Creating a personal "visual dictionary" using collage, hand lettering and illustration -Assembling a mini themed zine from concept to finished printed piece *Please Note: (Bring your own materials, paper, marker, scissors, glue sticks, etc) Whether you're here to try something new for the very first time or looking to develop a focused and consistent creative practice, this course meets you exactly where you are. No experience necessary — just a willingness to play, experiment, and make something that is completely and unapologetically your own!
